Walking Through the Hollow Paths

There are places in life that feel like a sluggish forest. Each trail, seems to lead deeper. As the trees, growing darker and more grim, branch over the path - it is as though they will devour you if making one wrong move. You move, you struggle — and yet with each turn you get more caught up, weaker. Every second brings you nearer crossing an edge from across which there is no return. The more disheartened you become, the more the structures surrounding you grow in strength - luring you to turn into them. Another hungering fixation; each devouring one another except when fresh flesh shows.

There are ways to walk differently through these places — ways that weaken the pull and return your strength.

Spot the Tracks

You can spot it taking form before it manifests; a rhythm that never resolves, but repeats - telling you all is well while masking reality “this is just how it is”. The sensation that any attempt at escape will tighten the snare.

  • Tell yourself: This is not my path, I wil not walk it. - even a whisper loosens the bind.

If you do the same, the same outcome shapes - if you react, you give up sovereignity. Add a tiny sideways-step: Pause before answering, take a breath when you’d rush, write one sentence of truth or don’t show that you notice when the path bend. Each tiny victory is a reconquest of your freedom.

How You’re Nourished

Every time you’re feeling drained, look for a spark; don’t leave it - take the clarity, the lesson or the breathing-space and carry it forwards turning it into a torch. It’ll increase you in clarity, as you walk differently finding protection in how you move - speaking what others keep hidden, holding your worth without needing sacrifice to prove it. Choose what nourishes, instead of what fixates, harms & triggers and as if by magic leaves a pleasant intoxicating sensation - get outside the “normal” rhythm, and the hollow cannot close down on you.

  • Not every path is to be walked, not every door for opening.

Spot it, don’t fall for the lure - observe.
