When things keep “almost” moving

If you’re trying to complete something, and it keeps getting lightly delayed, don’t analyze it.

Notice one mismatch between what was expected
and what is actually happening right now.
State it plainly, with a time.

Example:
“At 13:45, progress was expected. Instead, it paused.”

Next do one tiny thing that advances the task:
rename a file, write one sentence, close an unrelated tab, change posture and continue.

Then write out, or tell a peer:
“Before .. stalled. After doing.. this change.”

Don’t check messages or engage in side conversation until that’s finished.
